I’ve waited ten years TEN YEARS okay ? To try a real English fish&chips. Ended in Ampthill pretty much by luck and drive past the place. First I did not understand as it’s called Anpthill Fish Bar but they advertised kebab and burgers. Still went to the net saw some awful and gorgeous reviews. Well I just got one of the best new of my life. Am no expert in fish&chips just heard how it was supposed to taste from an old Kitchen’s nightmare show. Well it tasted how he described it and how I’ve always wished it tasted. Marvelous. Would recommend 100% (Careful if not from England you might find it odd that they ask if you want “only salt” on your fries because they mean salt and vinegar otherwise ^^

Once again Ampthill fish bar enabled us to have a lovely fish and chip supper. We ordered 20 meals they were beautifully cooked and wrapped ready for collection. A great service thank you

Been using Ampthill fish bar for many years, not the cheapest but the food is good - you get a fairly good size portion and the food is always fresh - pub next door is great for popping in to whilst you wait for your good. Would recommend - better than other local kebab shops.

Large cod and chips could easily serve 2 people. Cod quality is top notch. No seating which isn't a problem. Staff were welcoming 👍 If I'm ever around the same location I will definitely visit again!!

Best fish and chips in Bedford by a mile. Only downside they don’t deliver themselves or through just etc. always look forward to treating myself to some cod and chips when I can do so and recommend it to anyone!

Used this takeaway the other night. We had a mixture of kebabs with chips. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and the food was very tasty. They have a good selection at reasonable prices. I was very happy. I would highly recommend this business!!
